《狼王梦》以母狼紫岚为主角，讲失去了伴侣的母狼紫岚在广袤的尕玛尔草原上，一场飞砂走石的大暴雨中，在与猎狗的厮中艰难产下五只小狼崽，而其中一只刚出生的小狼崽在受到暴雨的侵袭后去，紫岚倾注了全部心来培养这四个狼崽。为了下一代，为了实现狼王的梦想，紫岚对四只狼在庆祝了全部的母爱。
这本书让我感受到了母爱的伟大，然而，给与我更深刻启发与触动的，是人类的思索方式。我静静的想了。
换一个角度去想，我们会发现，平时我们憎恨的、狼生存的概念——活着就是一匹狼，了就是一堆肉。这个理念或许对于人类来说不近人情，可却符合狼情。正如紫岚所想——对者废物利用，拯救众多活着的生命，或许还是一种慈悲呢！
以前，我憎恨狼，总感觉它透着一股气。并出奇地喜欢猎手那种豪爽的风格。但现在，我就连看到屠夫鸡都都感到残忍。人类啊人类！难道，你们就为了一顿美餐，一张珍贵的.狼皮，而残一个生命吗？如果你们无缘无故被一个生命残害，你们会愿意吗？你们的灵魂会愿意吗？
动物也是有感情的，就像凶狠而残暴的狼。他们对任何一个幼小的生命都不会放过。两匹公狼会因为争夺一匹母狼而厮、而拼搏，甚至两败俱伤。可母狼们在保护幼仔时爆发出母爱的力量却大得惊人。这是为什么？我不知道。
人是有生命的，他们要存活下去，就需要食物。但狼也是有生命的，他们同样需要食物。或许有人会说：“那狼群不还残害过人类吗？”我会反问他：“你们没残害过狼群吗？”
要知道，狼是动物，是凶残的动物，是上帝赐予了他们这种天性。可人类，是有情有意的、高一等的生命，怎么能无辜屠生灵呢？屠狼群不要紧，鸡、鸭、鹅，鸟，这些可爱的动物，不都是在人类手下吗？
前几天，我在电视上看了一部关于保护动物的电影。当看到一名名猎手为了得到珍贵的鹿皮，而活剥一只只无辜动物的皮时，我彻底惊呆了——没想到，如今世上竟有这样的人！他们为了钱财，屠生命、滥无辜，这是多么可耻！当我看到一只只动物肉模糊的倒在地上时，心里萌发出一种说不出的愤慨。
