见信好！
你是一位治水能手，我曾经听我的祖先说起过。你为了治好我祖先的暴脾气，整整花了十三个年头，“三过家门而不入”，最终让我的家族与人类和平共处，并且开始造福人类。人类对我们极尽溢美之词：“日出江花红胜火，春来江水绿如蓝。”“桃花流水”、“涟漪荡荡”道尽了我们的温柔与美丽。我们的身影出现在无数文人墨客的笔下，人类傍水而居，和我们亲密相处。大禹先生，听到这里你肯定很欣慰吧，因为在治水期间，你肯定做过无数这样的梦吧。
但是，多年以后的一天，一切发生了变化。不知从什么时候开始，一股股“牛奶”注入我的肚子，我被呛得直吐泡泡。不知怎么的，日夜和我相伴的小鱼小虾渐渐没了踪影，整天摇曳着柔软腰肢的水草姑娘也瞬间衰老。没过多久，人们又开始把垃圾倒入我的嘴中，有一次甚至把一只猪扔进我的嘴里，害得我差点窒息。我由伤心变成愤怒，掀起了阵阵波浪。但是人们看着泛着黑色波浪的我，竟然捂着口鼻，厌恶地离我远去，没有一个人同情我。我孤单地流淌在河床妈妈的怀里，没有一个朋友。我的身子里只有瓜皮纸屑、动物尸体、破烂衣服，还有各种包装纸袋，飘着一阵阵难闻的恶臭。一只老鼠从一只破烂箱子里钻出来，浑身湿漉漉的，贼溜溜的眼睛看了看我，就溜走了。一只饿得发昏的野狗在这些腐臭的\'垃圾堆里找食物，两只前爪不停地刨着，终于找到了一根不知是什么动物的骨头，叼在嘴里，用力地啃着。看着这一切，我感到一阵阵恶心。抬头看着灰色的天空，我禁不住呜咽起来：“大禹叔叔，你能回来救救我吗？”
正在我奄奄一息之际，一天，我发现一群人拿着瓶子和一些仪器来到我的身边，把我装进瓶子里带走了；过了几天，又来了一群老工人，在我身边做起了“爱护水资源”的宣传；小朋友们也来了，忙碌着捡起河道里的垃圾。人类开始大谈“治水梦”，这让我想起了你——大禹叔叔。因为他们现在也有了和你一样的决心——“五水共治”，一场前所未有的全民治水活动全面拉开了。每天都有人来给我“治病”，从人们凝重的神情上我看到了未来的希望。相信不用多久，面目全非的我必定能恢复回来的“清白”，找回自己的绿容。
现在的我正安心地躺在河床妈妈的怀里，看着满天的星星，想念我的老朋友小鱼小虾们。风一吹，我闻到了自己身上清新的味道，我也看到人们成群结队地在我身边散步。这一切，美好得就像一个梦。

Such is sons’ nature; I really do not know how to express my thanks to you. However, I can imagine, on the day 18 years ago, when you gave birth to me, what a complex feeling you had. In the past few years, every day you struggle me up in the morning and prepare breakfast for me, then in the afternoon, you always welcome your only son with delicious foods after a day‘s hard work. Now your son has been 18 and will go to university soon, like a bird is leaving its parents. Nevertheless, your footprints on my heart will never ever fade and I love you mum!

Dear Future Husband,
I\'m not yet sure whether you exist, though I\'d like to believe that you do. While it may not make much logical sense, you\'ve been on my mind lately. I haven\'t thought much about what you\'ll look like, how tall you\'ll be, or what type of car you\'ll drive — I\'m not too concerned with the minor details. However, I have been thinking about a few things I want you to know.
I want you to know that I am happy — right now — as a single, 26-year-old \"millennial\" who lives in a small apartment with a roommate and eats Chipotle for dinner more times than I care to admit. I love my job, I love my crazy friends and family, and I love spending quality time alone. I want you to know that my life has purpose apart from and before you. When we do meet one day, I want you to understand that I do not expect you to complete me, or to be my God. That\'s way too much pressure for anyone to bear. I am already complete.
I want you to know that I am not a trophy. Apparently, a lot of guys think this is a compliment. However, I want you to know that I have no desire to be seen as a trophy — a symbol of your own perceived success. I was not raised just to sit and look pretty on anybody\'s shelf. I want to have intellectual conversations. I want to help you chase your dreams. I want to be your partner, not your prize.

“You always say that I am naive. In your eyes, I am always the little girl who will never grow up”. This is my favorite song and also the sound from the bottom of my heart. You made me feel so lucky to be your child. But I find our hearts getting further apart as time goes by.
You strictly forbid me to do entertaining activities even if I finished my homework, such as watching TV or playing computer games. Based on this, I couldn’t get any grade less than A. It is said that genius only means hard-working all one’s life. But I think combining exertion is the best way for learning.
The most important thing to me was that I feel frustrated for having few friends to confide in due to your strict rules. I can’t have a play date, participate in a school play or even choose my own extracurricular activities. Who will accept such a boring and troublesome person? I am just an ordinary girl who can’t stand loneliness, so I always feel contradictory.
On the one hand, I’m grateful to have you in my life, to disappoint you was the least I would do. On the other hand, what you asked for me made me felt like a puppet rather than a real person. I appreciated your efforts to pull me away from a self-indulgent life, but your obsessively extravagant strictness has pushed me into an isolated and insensible one. I need a little freedom so that I will concentrate on something I really interested in.
Father and mother, these words were hid in my deep heart for a long time. I love you, and I believe if you change some harsh rules. I will have a wonderful life.

How is everything going? I have been in America for a month as an exchange student. I am now staying at Mrs. White’s. She is said to be in her forties but looks very young and attractive. She is of normal height, with a slender figure, blond hair and big blue eyes.
Mrs. White shows a keen interest in everything about China, especially its culture and places of interest. She has a large collection of items that have to do with China, such as books videos, tea, artworks, and so on. She asks me so many questions about my country that sometimes I have to consult my friends to give satisfactory answers.
Mrs. White is kind and outgoing and she usually wears a smile on her face. We are getting along very well with each other. She takes me out to local places every weekend and if you come here, I will be your guide.
