暑假时炎热而有那么的漫长，所以，我和妈妈决定早上一起去打羽毛球，这样，既能打发点时间，又能锻炼身体。
听说能去锻炼身体，我可开心啦！这种机会我怎么能错过呢？于是，我把闹钟调到了7：30、叮铃铃……闹钟响了起来，我马上换好衣服，洗漱完后，我满以为我是全家最早起来的，想不到妈妈早就拿着羽毛球拍坐在那里等我了。出门后，我和妈妈坐的士去越秀公园。拿起羽毛球拍，准备一场“战争”。妈妈先发球，可妈妈三番两次仗着我有阳光直照我的眼睛，看不清眼前的东西来发球，结果肯定是输了。这让我既生气，又沮丧，还决定以后不和妈妈来打球了。
妈妈看到我这样，走到我身旁，拍拍我的肩膀，语重心长地说：“假入你连输都输不起的话，以后遇到一点小事，你就更加输不起。这次输了，没关系，继续多加练习，以后再来跟我打球，我们做人要懂得能屈能伸。给自己一点信心，那你总有一天会赢的！”听了妈妈的话，让我明白很多道理，
是啊，输了不要紧，只要你下次再继续努力，我相信，世上无难事，只怕有心人，只要你努力了，你就已经成功了一半。

那是暑假开始的第一天，我按捺不住放假的喜悦心情，早晨没等妈妈叫我，就早早地起来把房间收拾得干干净净的，爸爸妈妈被我的反常举动搞得还以为今天太阳打西边出来呢，我冲他们神秘地一笑，说：“今天还会发生更新鲜的事呢。”究竟是什么呢？——秘密！
五年级的时候，我都养着一些不好的习惯。我都是六年级的学生了，饭来张口、衣来身手，这些习惯我都要通通改掉。所以呢，我要利用暑假的时间为爸爸妈妈做一些事。
吃完了早饭，爸爸妈妈都去上班了，我也开始了我的秘密行动——做家务。我学着妈妈的样子，首先将抹布洗干净，蹲在地上，一点一点擦地板，还没擦上一个房间，我已经热得满头大汗、气喘吁吁了。想到妈妈每天都要做这些家务，今天我终于体验到了妈妈的辛苦，我都不想动了，但是，在我的脑海里浮现出了一句话：坚持就是胜利！我去洗手间洗把脸，继续擦起来。工夫不负有心人，大约过了一个小时，我终于把地板擦干净了。地板变干净了，我也累得趴在沙发上起不来了。但是看着我亲手擦干净的地板，心里乐极了。

下午的时候和朋友一起去玩饰品店，我看中了 一些用纸折的纸鹤，我和同学约定晚上来买然后在去玩，回到了家里，我把这件事说给了妈妈听，要她拿钱给我，可她却说：“买的纸鹤有什么好的，又浪费钱，又没有什么用。”我苦苦的 求她，可她就是不答应，还说：“不就是纸鹤吗，我们也可以折啊!”于是，我怀着试一试的`心情跟着妈妈折，可是折完拿起来一看，这哪是什么纸鹤啊，翅膀还不像翅膀，嘴不像嘴，简直 丑了，当时我就恨她了，这点钱都不给我。
直到后来的一件事，才让我觉得她并不坏，一天，同学和我说：“高中的东西太难了，我们去买参考书吧。”我说：“不可能， 上次我叫我妈拿钱买饰品她都不肯，更何况现在所需要的钱可比买饰品的钱要多。”回到家之后，我到房间写着似懂非懂的题，妈妈推开门对我说：“你同学叫你去买参考书你干嘛不去呀! ”我答到：“上次买饰品你都不给我钱，这次可比那那次的钱要多，你怎么可能给我钱啊。”
但是，她拿出了100块对我说：“我不是不给我，也不是缺那么点饰品的钱，但饰品好你又没有什么好处，那就是浪费，而参考书可以让你的 成绩提高，我怎么会不给你钱呢。”于是，我对妈妈就不再恨了。
虽然这可能是一件小事，但其中也包含了一定的道理，这会是我暑假最有意义的一天。
