第一次出来找工作，什么都不懂。多亏朋友指引，我们买来一份报纸，在广告栏搜索一番，看准几项适合的工作，然后逐——去试。试的笫一份I作是百货公司售货员。在烈日下去找那间公司，但结果是扫兴而回——负责人说我们没，不招。去见的笫二份工作是餐厅侍应，这份工作工资挺诱人，每月有3000多元。结果呢，与上次没什么两样，又是无功而回，人家说我们沒有工作经验，也不请。东家不靖奔西家，我们就不信找不到——份工作。
笫二天，我们继续出发，但这次不是按报纸去找，而是到街上去碰，我们不信走遍东莞的街会找不到——份工作。
那天虽是闷热难耐，而我们却斗志高昂，信心十足。结果呢？依然是不行！不行！不要紧，好的工作在笤着我们呢！笫六份。笫七份……——连见了十多份工作，有些人信心开始动摇，斗志开始松懈。想不到笫一次出来找工作，就遇到重重困难，真让我们切身体会到生活的艰难了。

一大清早，我便被老妈叫醒，被迫去家里开的便利店帮忙。我想：这还不到5点10分，绝对没有人来。果然，整整半个小时，连个进来的人影儿也没有见着。可不大一会儿，人们就像是不约而同的进入商店购物，顾客是络绎不绝啊。害得我手忙脚乱，此时的我真想有三头六臂来应付那些烦人的顾客。时间就这样一分一秒地过去了，累得我是气喘如牛，连早饭也忘了吃。
好不容易熬过了上午，本想休息一会儿的我，却又突然接到老妈的命令：去市场进货。这无疑是给了我当头一棒！无奈，只好出发喽。一进市场，那是人山人海，总算让我见识到什么叫做水泄不通。我硬着头皮挤进购物大军里头，费了九牛二虎之力才找到那个摊位。真是“山重水复疑无路，柳暗花明又一村”啊！才兴奋了一会儿，我又开始犯愁——许多货物我根本找不到。心急如焚的我一遍又一遍地扫视货架，最后得到的仍是失望。此时，那位和蔼可亲的老板走过来了。我像是抓住了救命稻草似的，急切地询问着老板。老板不愧是老板，一下子就为我解了围，甚至还热心肠地帮我把货放好。我向老板道谢，便踏上了回家的路。

actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.
