I went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays this year. I liked green plants, clear rivers and lovely amimals there.I breathed the fresh air on the mountain and sometimes I went swimming in the river. I kept a diary every day.

一个个奖学金获得者，一个个校园之星，如璀璨群星。看着如此多的精英和手中区区的三等奖，心中油然升起一股莫名的恐慌。望古时曹冲十二三岁便聪颖过人，称象一事家喻户晓，看古时诸葛孔明四五岁便机敏不止，每日随父母耕读于田中，见古时周瑜十五六便成大业，作将军，名扬四海……正所谓少年当有成，想我们十四五岁正当年少，在这初三当口，岂能被紧张状况折磨得够呛！我们不应把初三当成一个令人消瘦的魔鬼，若是闻风丧胆岂不是更败得狼狈不堪。其实初三就像一座决定生的浮桥，既可渡你至成功彼岸，亦可把你阻在成功之外，我们不可就此倒下，若是在此关键的一步倒下，岂不落个全盘皆输的下场！
长辈们说：十年努力，看一步。既然初三已经开始，就应好好地想办法应对，以一种轻松的心情去看待，以一种拼搏的态度去对待。若能在初三拿着优秀高中的录取书离开，那才是对为照顾我们而呕心沥的父母的最好解释，老师也会因劳而有获备感欣慰。

First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.
