1、说明方法：如上列举
2、说明顺序：时间顺序、空间顺序（从上到下、从远到近、游览顺序等）、逻辑顺序（总分总、并列、由表及里、从现象到本质、从感性到理性、从主要到次要等）（注：答题只需写三大类之一，无须分小类）
3、说明的特征：指说明对象所具有的特点，也是文章的主干部分以及文章的写作目的。 （比较：说明文的特征是准确性、知识性、科学性）
4、说明的语言：第一要求准确、客观（分析模糊性词语如“大概”、“比较”、“左右”等一定要往准确性方向思考，同时也要对句子本身作出具体分析，切忌只写空话）第二不排除有生动形象的语言存在，分析此类语言时可从以下两方面进行思考：①语言本身所反映的客观情况；②文采、情感色彩、渲染的气氛等
5、字、词、句的理解按记叙文的读法，但不妨多往客观性及说明对象的特征方向思考。
