第一乐趣：吃食
不止小狗，小猫呀，小白兔……这些宠物对于吃食来说，是非常重要的;然而小狗吃食物的时候，总爱先把骨头啃光，再吃东西，在吃东西的时候，你可不能去靠近它，你如果这时候想逗逗它，那你可要停手了，因为小狗吃食的时候，如果你去打扰它，它就会以为的是来抢他东西吃的呢，所以就会大叫，甚至来会咬你的!
第二乐趣：睡觉
说到睡觉，小狗也是在那时候休息的，它休息的时候，不管天塌下来，还是地裂了，它就是不理你，自己缩成一团，小声的打着喷嚏，闭着眼睛在梦境里摇荡!!!

狗是一种杂食性动物但喜欢吃荤，在喂养时，需要在饲料中配制较多的动物蛋白和脂肪，辅以素食成分，以保证狗的正常发育和健康的体魄。
狗的消化道比食草动物要短，狗胃盐酸含量在家畜中居于首位，加之肠壁厚吸收能力强，所以容易和适宜消化肉食食品。
狗属科，在进食时不大咀嚼，可谓“狼吞虎咽”。如果要喂粗纤维的蔬菜最好把蔬菜切碎或煮熟。
狗的排便中枢不够发达，不能在行进中排便，所以我们要给它一定的排便时间。
狗喜欢啃咬。这也是原生态时撕咬猎物所留下的习惯。我们在喂养时要经常给它一些狗骨头(狗咬胶，不能喂它禽类骨头，猪牛的也最好别喂，否则有可能噎着，以利于磨牙用。
狗有独特的自我防御能力，吃进有毒食物后，能引起呕吐反应而把有毒食物吐出来。
炎热的夏季，狗大张着嘴巴，垂着很长的舌头，靠唾液中水分蒸发来散热。
狗在群居时，也有“等级制度”和主从关系。建立这样一种秩序便可以保持群体的稳定，减少因为食物、生存空间的争夺而引起恶斗。
狗在卧下的时候，总是在周围转一转，看看周围有没有什么危险，确定无危险后，才会安心睡觉。
狗的颈部、背部喜欢被人爱抚。尽量不要摸头顶，因为这样会让它感觉到压抑和眩晕。此外，屁股和尾巴摸不得。“狗改不了吃屎”，这是狗的最大恶习，必须纠正。
