做为低年级学生的家长，我觉得家庭是孩子的第一所“学校”，家长是孩子的第一任“教师”，在孩子这张白纸上画东西，接受是非常快的，所以，我觉得家教意义重大，为人父母者，责无旁贷。
一、家教是与孩子共同学习的过程
孩子开始学拼音时，我在辅导的时候，与孩子共同学习(我也有很多的读音不标准，她会用老师的要求纠正我的读音，不仅提高了她的成就感，也提高了学习的兴趣。由于我耐心的与她共同完成作业，孩子的拼音顺利过关了，我的拼音也得到了提高，计算机的拼音输入速度也提快不少。
二、教孩子掌握方法
加法、减法是最简单的，但孩子最初接触时的陌生让我也想了一些办法：手数、笔划等，但效果一般。在借鉴了一些老师的以后，我觉得正确方法的学习比记硬背来得更快、更明显。在相同类型的题做完后，我与孩子共同找一些规律，再出几道相同类型的题进行巩固，这样她就会对这类型的题感兴趣，而且完成效果更好。
开始学乘法的时候，以老师和课本中将加法的形式与乘法相对应的方法进行学习，背口诀表。但反过来，我要求她将对应的得数除以前面的各位，教他相应的简单除法来提前预习。
三、培养孩子良好的学习态度和习惯
学生的学习态度端正与否，学习习惯是否良好，决定着学习的成绩与效果。正确的学习态度和习惯不光是能够按时上学，上课不早退、不迟到，还应包括遵守课堂纪律，专心听讲，积极思考和回答问题，按时做作业，认真复习等。平时，我要求孩子在相应的时间段内独立完成每天的学习任务。做为父亲我也一直要求孩子：认真做好每件事。学习时心无杂念，玩时高兴、开心。但孩子的自制力不强，还是需要我们不时的督促。在孩子犯错误时，就孩子的错误进行交流，使她逐步的认识那些能做，那些不能做。
有段时间，我与老师交谈了解到孩子上课回答问题不很积极。回家后，我从侧面了解一些情况，并与孩子交流、沟通，鼓励孩子的发言和回答问题，使问题得到了良好的解决。在与孩子共同读课外书籍时，不认识的字要求她自己查字典并记下。
四、培养孩子独立的能力
培养孩子自己的事自己做的能力和习惯，逐渐减少父母或其他成人的照顾，并适当调整孩子的作息时间，遵守学校作息制度，按时睡觉，按时起床，控制孩子观看电视的时间。
“可怜天下父母心”，作为父母，还有很多的东西需要引导孩子，使孩子对身边的事感兴趣，这将极大地有助于她的学习，也将形成有利于学习的家庭氛围，让家庭、学校联手培养更多的人才吧!让孩子们的人生更精彩!
