我的家乡许昌，是一个风景优美的地方。文峰广场、春秋楼、西湖公园、千亩游园……就像一颗颗璀璨的明珠，把它打扮得分外漂亮，其中我最喜欢西湖公园。
走进公园大门，首先看见一个碧波荡漾的湖，湖水清澈透亮，阳光照在湖面上，闪着粼粼波光，一阵微风吹来，平静的湖水泛起阵涟绮，真是好看。瞧，一群鸭子嘎嘎地叫着，在水里欢快的游来游去，让人不禁想起了“竹外桃花三两枝，春江水暖鸭先知”的诗句。每到周末或者节假日，还有很多游客泛舟湖上，尽情地享受着快乐时光。湖面上柳树姑娘摆着它那柔软的腰肢，对着湖面梳理着自己的长发。
西湖对岸是游乐场，有旋转木马、摩天轮、碰碰车等各种游乐设施供人们游玩。在这里到处都洋溢着人们的尖叫声、嬉笑声，每个人脸上都写满了幸福跟快乐。
穿过西湖跟游乐园，沿着鹅卵石铺成的小路，向北走就来到了西湖公园深处。这里十分幽静，到处绿树成荫，鲜花盛开，简直就是绿的海洋，花的天堂。一簇簇牡丹花引来了翩翩起舞的蝴蝶，漫步其中真是一种美的享受。各种造型的亭台、假山点缀其中，常常令人流连往返。
这就是美丽的西湖公园。我喜欢它，是因为它给我带来了很多快乐，我爱它，是因为它为我的家乡增添了光彩，我爱西湖公园，更爱我的家乡许昌！

一路上，西湖三面都环绕着山，我看到了许多叫卖的人们。有的卖棉花糖，有的卖花环，有的卖冰糖葫芦，还有的卖学鸟叫的乐器……杭州西湖的景点可多了：雷峰塔、断桥残雪、三潭映月、十里苏堤、曲院风荷等……
我们在湖岸旁租了一艘游船，坐上了以后，在湖面上划，这时候，我和姐姐在湖边发现了一对鸳鸯，在湖边嬉戏。又在湖中心看见了一群白鹭，却划船的师傅说那不是白露，而是夜鹭。夜鹭？夜鹭是什么，我好奇地问。“夜鹭是白露的一种，为什么有一个夜字，应该是在晚上出没的。”划船的师傅回答道。
船划在湖面上，在阳光的照耀下，闪烁着闪闪的金光，波光粼粼，从四面八方划过来的游船像一只只巨大的水鸟。
这时候，我们划到了三潭映月，咦，这三潭映月的画面我好像在哪里见过，过了一分钟，我想起来了，原来在一元钱的纸币上就有这三潭映月的图片啊！
船划到了对岸，我们下了船去断桥残雪和酥小小之墓参观。
碧绿的湖水像翡翠，岸边的柳树发出了新芽，随风飘舞，像少女正在梳理头发，真不愧有：“欲把西湖比西子，淡妆浓抹总相宜”之称。
