《昆虫记》这本书是法国的法布尔写的，他花费了将近20年时光写成的《昆虫记》，这本书让我爱不释手，我仿佛走进了一个神秘而多姿多彩的世界里，写出了昆虫们的外表和生活习性，本能，计谋手段等，了解蜜蜂.螳螂.圣甲虫.蝉，还有可怕的黑腹舞蛛，装的黑步甲，麻醉师萤火虫.......但是我最喜欢还是红蚂蚁。
红蚂蚁可以举起比自己重十倍的东西，可以说是昆虫界的举重冠军了，如果把红蚂蚁放大成狮子大小的话，就可以举起比自己重十倍的大象了。我也在小区里做过这样的实验，我拿了一片面包和一个放大镜，我找到蚂蚁的洞穴以后，撕下几块小面包，放在洞口，等着它们的出现，一会在洞穴外的红蚂蚁看到了食物，因为他知道靠自己的力量是搬不走食物，于是就开始用触角来告诉自己的伙伴，过一会的功夫，来了一群密密麻麻的队伍，就像一件小红衣服，它们靠着自己的力量，把食物搬到洞穴里面。
让我最感动的是蝉。公蝉是一名优秀的歌唱家，母蝉是不会唱歌的，但是她会生许多的蝉卵。小婵要经过四次痛苦的蜕皮，它们在蜕皮的过程中要避开小鸟和蚂蚁，最后才能成为一只真正的蝉。成为蝉后没多久，它们就衰老而去。
《昆虫记》这本书给了我无数的乐趣与无数的启发，其中也告诉了我很多道理，做任何事情都要坚持不懈，即使条件艰苦也要为了理想坚持下去，这本书我还会看几遍的。
